Williams and Prentice family papers, ca. 1909.

The first portion of this collection is a number of family trees. The second part relates to the visit of President Taft to Norwich, Connecticut, in 1909, the year the town was celebrating the 250th anniversary of its founding. There is correspondence from the President, his wife, and Winslow Tracy Williams. Included are guest lists from the visit, a typed narrative, as well as invitations to the Williamses to visit the White House. Some of the papers are from Florence Prentice prior to her marriage to Winslow Tracy Williams. Unrelated to most of the collection is a copy of a narrative about quilts that have been made.
